Fireplace Fantasies:

To say winter is not my favorite season would be an understatement.  For us, this winter’s been especially cold.  It’s been two weeks since the Christmas Eve blizzard…and the snow is still here.

While that may seem normal to many, I’ve never seen snow stick for more than two or three days in my neck of the woods!  And that’s just the way I like it.

Until things warm up, I’ll stay parked in front of my space heater (set on high), dressed in layers of clothing, while dreaming of roaring wood fires in grand fireplaces like the one below.  (Not the gas log fireplaces like we have here — designed mostly for show, not heat.)

Isn’t this fireplace and chaise lounge just dreamy?  With the fluffy pillows and all those books….I could just crawl into the photo and be a very happy camper!
