Vintage Jewelry
Doesn’t Everyone Collect Something?
I’ve always been a collector. As a child, it began with an assortment of uniquely colored stones. Not much has really changed with the stone collecting. I’ve just moved up to prettier rocks — and now they’re set in jewelry.
Broaches have been especially fun. Vintage shops always seem to have a few in stock. Several are quite ornate and unlike what’s being made today. Many have a bit of patina around the edges. You can tell they’re vintage just by looking at them. I especially like those.
And there are so many fashion possibilities for broaches! Of course, one can wear it as a broach…but having collected these beauties for years, I’ve found many more ways to display them.
This week is insanely hectic. So, today I just grabbed a couple to photograph and show. (By my photos, you can tell I haven’t yet fulfilled my new year’s resolution to improve my photography skills.)
Next week, I’ll share with you some of my unconventional uses for broaches.
